Posted: 10-20-05 00:59am

Hello there, I am 23 I am a new mom my son is 13 months, I breast fed for four monthes and stopped, and now all of a sudden my breasts feel very heavy and I can squeeze colostrum from them. I took two pregnancy tests and they both said not pregnant. Do any of you have any suggestions or has this ever happened to anyone before. I am very nrevous and any help you can give me would be great.

Hi.. I breastfed my baby for 3 months, and can still express milk from my breasts. I was talking to a health nurse yesterday, and she said some people can express milk years after they breast feed.

I wrote this on another forum but i'll mention it again just because I think it's a little out there.

My aunt still had milk for years after she had both her kids and then it seemed to have stopped almost all the way for a couple of years. When her daughter had a baby she started producing lots of milk again and she said that her breast would leak!! She was soo shocked and thought it was really weird (they all lived in the same house) but that's something....

I think for your milk to have "come back-in" you'd have to be pretty far along. Otherwise it wouldn't be so much. But then again there are these cases of people producing milk long after the baby's done suckling. But then again, I don't know, I just read this somewhere or something. That's pretty much where I get all my information.

I mean I am still producing milk and get that tingling let down feeling, but,

I am not soaking my shirts or anything, and don't even need to wear breast pads. But the milk is there.
