I have benign ms and because I was a
runner or because of genetics, I have
ostioarthritis and need a knee
replacement. What are the success rates
for someone with ms? I am strong and as
active as I can be--biking, swimming,
snowshoeing,but the hiking, skiing,
running are out of the question. Walking
is not over-rated! Just don't know if
the whole replacement will work.

Knee Replacement Posted: 12-28-03 16:56pm
What I understand is that osteoarthritis
is also an autoimmune diseases. I had
knee surgery this summer to repair torn
cartilege. I will need replacement down
the road. I also had surgery to remove
my gallbladder recently. You should have
no problem with the surgery or recovery.
I have rrms. I hope this helps you.
