Trying to Find Out What Is Wrong With Me Posted: 10-22-05 08:15am
I am a 47 year old male and have been type
1 diabetic for the past 12 years. I have
had some rheumatic type problems lately
with swelling of joints and pain
especially in the mornings. Was
diagnosed with plantia fasciitis or
something like that and had cortizone
injections in my feet (oww) and it seemed
to ease the pain in the soles of my feet.
I get pain in my wrists and ankles and
knees. If I knock any of my bones it
takes ages to heal up. My big toe is
painful but not on the joint but on the
end of the toe. I get tired and have
difficulty sleeping sometimes with the
pain, I take brufin 600mg once or twice
daily and this helps. I went to the
hospital today for my blood test results
and the doc mentioned all results were ok
except something to do with lupus reading
which should be 8 or below, mine was in
excess of 200. Dont know if this is the
onset of lupus and sure hope it isnt
having read some of the things some of you
poor people are suffering with, but I
would like to know if my symptoms are
indicative of lupus. I have stopped
working in the mornings and dont go in til
around lunchtime when the pain seems to
have reduced significantly. I have an
appointment with the rheumatologist next
week. Any questions I should ask him?
Forgot to mention getting an aching pain
in my back where I imagine my kidneys
are.
Kindest regards
will

Hi will,
thanks for your reply to my post, you
sound just as I did before I was finally
diagnose with lupus. It was an uphill
struggle and still continues to be so. I
was tested with the same results you have.
What did your doctor say concerning the
lupus? I will try the remedy you
recommend since my doctors have not really
focused too much on it my feet problem.
Keep in touch.
