Signs of Ms?
Posted: 12-06-03 10:33am

I have been experiencing what I call shooting pains throughout my body all over. I feel these pains come on anywhere in my body at any given time. They only last for several seconds, but they can be pretty painful sometimes. Then the pain can change places in my body and go to another area within seconds. I have been feeling these types of pain for a while now, but I cant get in to see a neurologist for another 2 months and I am starting to become very concerned with the symptoms that I have. Also I feel very fatigured the majority of the time . I am not sure what it is that I am experiencing but could someone help send me in the right direction? Also, could someone let me know how long a person could have symptoms of ms before they are actually diagnosed? How long can a person have ms before actually finding out they have it ?

Ms Symptoms
Posted: 12-12-03 16:48pm

Hi, about a year ago I had abnormal mri and started doctoring at mayo to find out what was going on. My symtoms were blurry vision, loss of control of my legs and hands, muscle spasms, numbness in face, etc. Doctors at mayo think it's ms but haven't had that diagnosis as of yet. Some days are better than others but basically keep living normal. Lately have been having more symptoms and am considering having another mri to see if it's active ms. Very frustrating.

Signs of Ms?

Well along with the symptoms that I have had with the shooting pains, I have also been very fatigued. This has been going on for a long time. Recently though I have had real bad migranes, with shooting stabbing pains in the lft side of my head. This has happened twice, and left me with a chilling sensation throughout my whole body becuase the pain was so severe. I have had consistent muscle spasm in both of my legs and in my hand. Recently, I just gor the results of my b12 tests, and it came back low, which im not sure why. Im not sure exactly what is going on, but I do know that it is something. My muscles feel weak and fatigued too most of the time. I will see the neurologist, but that will not be unitl january 29. If anyone has more of a response to maybe what is going on with me then it would greatly be appreciated. I do know though that for the person that posteda reply to me before that I am sorry they have been experiencing those type of symptoms and not having an actual diagnosis. I can only imagine how fustrating it truley is, becuase I know how fustrated I am too. Thanks for your reply.

All of You With Ms Symptoms
Posted: 07-18-05 20:19pm

Hello everyone-
i've read many of your postings of the symptoms you are experiencing that appear to be ms or perhaps, developing ms. I want all of you to know that their is hope and their is something you can do that most medical doctors will not tell you!
First, I was diagnosed with optic neuritis almost 4 years ago. I had muscular pain, loss of vision in both eyes, much fatigue, dizziness, nausea, etc...You all know. The doctors said that my mri's and ct scans were clear for now and sent me home. Later I found a holistic doctor by the name of elson haas. He has written many books among which is "the detox diet." I was skeptical at first but I was feeling miserable and deathly afraid of ms. So, I went through this book and followed the program. It was very difficult b/c i'm not that disciplined but slowly my symptoms improved. I regained my vision in the left eye. He put me on a strict regimen of 2000mg of calcium and 1000 of magnesium as well as coq10 and a multi vitamin twice a day. Today, nearly four years later. I'm ms free and most of my symptoms are gone or very minor.
No matter what they tell you all there is hope. Believe me. If I could do it so can you. There is a lot more to holistics than they tell you and i've looked at much research that points toward a low immune system as being part of the cause of ms. So, steroids and other medical drugs are not always the answer.
Good luck to all of you.
