goog friend google helped me find this
page. Just like all of you I have been a
victim of this pain for around 3 years
now. It all started when I had a nasty
sinus infection and got worse. I think the
infection itsellf was a result of muscle
strain cuased when I fell on my butt on
some metal stairs.
Since i was very ill informed about my
condition I went to doctors who put me
through two painful sinus surgeries none
of which helped at all.
Evevntually ona trip to india I went to a
physical therapist who explained how our
body muscles work. I got the book called
trigger point therapy and took the time to
understand how muscles get contracted and
casue this kind of pain. Since then life
has improved considerably and I can feel
that i am on the road to recovery.
My main symptoms were a tight band around
the head which lasted for days at the end
and wouldnt let me focus on anything. i
think this primarily has to do with
muscles in the back and the neck. The
Semispinalis Capitis seems to be the root
casue of a lot of this pain http://www.round-e
arth.com/HeadPainIntro.html
especially since its near the occipital
nerve.
I would strongly reccomend going to a
physical therapist and trying to find and
root out these trigger points. Will update
my progress here as it happens.
good luck to all

I have totally gone through that for 3
years now. Its frustrating for us and
people around us. But they dont seem to
understand that we are not doing it on
purpose. our body is too exausted to do
anything becasue of the muscle strain.
eventually knowledge is the best weapon
here and the more you read about muscle
staring and referred pain the greater are
your chances of sucess. I highly reccomend
reading the link in my previous post and
if possible the book.

Head / Ear Pain Posted: 02-11-08 18:28pm
Hi All
I am new to this group and have just read
these messages with great interest.
I have been suffering with a sore /
painful head for about 8 years, seen
various GP's and a Neuro Consultant, I had
a scan which proved all clear.
I have never actually been told what the
cause of almost daily sensations in my
head, I have also had a crackly ear for
many years.
