I'm only 8 weeks pregnant and I want to
know what are the potential dangers of
going to a theme park -what rides are safe
and which should I avoid?

No Rides Posted: 10-24-05 23:33pm
I personally had that same situation, I
was 10 weeks and the fair came around.
On every ride it tells you not to ride if
pregnant-the only ride I rode was the
ferris wheel. To me my child is more
important than some silly ride. No
matter what the risks are or if there
isn't many, every pregnancy is different
and you never know how yours will be
affected. On the other hand my friend
was 14 weeks pregnant and she rode any
ride she wanted too. Her child was not
affected by them. If anything take it
slow! Hope you have fun, sorry I had no
real answers for you, but I hope I could
convice you to not ride the large, fast
rides.

Any ride that shakes you, or knocks you
around causeing your stomach to hit the
bar could be dangerous. Of course there
is a chance the baby would be fine, but im
sure you wouldnt want to take the risk.
There are alot of things we women have
to give up during pregnancy and sometimes
it is a drag to feel so limited. But
just remember it is only for about 9
months and when you have that precious
baby in your arms, and he or she is
healthy because you took such good care of
yourself you will be rewarded.
