Two symptoms:
(1) when I urinate, there is a delay of
around 3-20 seconds before I start, and
when I do, most of the time the pressure
is very low. In these cases, I do not
have a urgent need to go, just a 'normal'
need. When there is an urgent need,
things are relatively normal in terms of
pressure and delay.
(2) I have always taken forever to
ejaculate.
There is a contributing factor.... Since
around the age of 20 (when I made a
horrendous stuff up of a public speaking
situation! ) I have had a lot of trouble
urinating in public urinals when I know
there is someone within view. In these
cases I use a cubicle. So this is a
psychological issue that affects things
when i'm in a public restroom. My
problem still occurs when I am completely
alone and at ease with the situation.
How common are these symptoms for someone
of my age, and what conclusive tests can
be conducted to determine if there is an
issue with my prostate or something
else?
Cheers

Signs of an enlarged prostate include:
* slowed or delayed start of the
urinary stream
* weak urine stream
* dribbling after urinating
* straining to urinate
* strong and sudden urge to urinate
* incomplete emptying of your bladder
* needing to urinate 2 or more times
per night
* urinary retention (complete
inability to urinate)
* incontinence
* pain with urination or bloody urine
(these may indicate infection)
less than half of men with an enlarged
prostate, however, experience these
symptoms. Your best bet is to visit your
doctor.
