R Lung Pain After Appendectomy Posted: 10-25-05 12:54pm
Any ideas what's going on with me? I had
an appendectomy 6 weeks ago, they had to
take it the old-fashioned way (cut from my
belly button across to my side) because it
was adhered to my cecum, my fallopian tube
and my ovary. At the same time an ob/gyn
surgeon removed a cyst from my right ovary
and cleaned adhesions from my twisted
fallopian tube. My ob/gyn say he didn't
remove my fallopian tube, the pathology
report says he did. Either way i'm
having pain in my right lung only when I
lay on my right side. I feel pressure
and then I get short of breath and pain
that shoots up towards my
collarbone/shoulder area. I'm also
having a burning stinging pain below my
belly button. My Dr. Diagnosed it first
time as uti even though bacteria didn't
show up. I took antibiotics for 5 days,
seemed to feel a little better. Same
exact symptoms as last time, but no
bacteria in my urine. It doesn't sting
when I pee, I don't feel like I have to go
all the time, just pain below my abdomen
after I pee. I've had a ct scan of my
chest and my pelvic area. Both came up
negative. Am I crazy? Dr's say
nothing's showing up but I can't sleep on
my right side and pain in abdomen isn't
okay. Anyone have any ideas? I also
have an unusually bad case of phlebitis
for an active 32 year old female. Help!
Thank you in advance for anyone who takes
the time to read this loonngg message! :)

I would just say that you need to persist
with your dr, until they find out why you
are getting this pain. You are obviously
suffering & they need to find out what
the problem is. Keep on at them until
they find out.

You need to have a ultra sound
done.............It sounds like a
situation with your liver or possibly your
gall blader............I would suggets
requesting this test to rule out the
above.........Good luck
