Q: I Don't Feel Anything!

I am enetering my 18th week in the next couple of days and I don't feel anything. My ultrasound is coming up and i'm very much looking forward to the reassurance it will offer me, but i'm also scared as hell that something could be wrong. When does this terrible anxiety end!?! Am I just over reacting? Does anyone else feel this way?

I am not as far along as you are but I am also terrified that something has happened to baby. I have heard it's normal to worry about your baby's health. Many women do (including myself)

i can't wait to have an ultrasound done so that I can calm down a bit but also I am scared and stressing out from now until whenever it is that I will have that done.

I feel little flutters in my stomach sometimes when I am laying down for a bit. Relax and lay down a bit and pay attention to what is going on inside of you with the baby, you might be able to feel something.

I have read other posts where women have suggested drinking a cold glass of water or juice and then laying down for a while and feeling the baby move.

I hope this helps a bit here.
I know how it feels to worry like this
i wish you the best!!!

Thank you, for your kind words. I have thought I felt something, but i'm not sure if it was the baby or not. I know I shouldn't worry. I'll keep you posted. Good luck to you as well. How far long are you?

Try not to worry. I am 19 weeks. If it weren't for the 3 ultrasounds i've had I would still be worried. I have felt an occassional kick, 2-3 different instances, still nothing really regular. It's harder for it to seem real when you haven't seen your baby on the ultrasound screen. I'm sure everything is fine.

I'm 20 weeks and have been feeling my baby move for a couple of weeks now, he even kicks, but not hard.

I think it all depends on how your body is, you can't even tell i'm pregnant yet, but yet his kicks feel so strong.

You usually feel the kicks or fluttering when you are lying down or sitting down, although give it a few more weeks and you will feel something anywhere between 18 and 22 you should feel something for first pregnancy.

Thank you, to all who responded. Sometimes you just need that reassurance. My ultrasound is nov. 7. I'll be back then to let you know how the baby is doing.

It's okay to overreact during preg or have mood swing, or get anxious simetimes. Don't worry. If this is your first preg, it's okay that you haven't feel your baby movings yet--you'll soon feel it.
