Bit of Advice, Please?
Posted: 10-26-05 21:24pm

Hey ya'll, my name's ashley and i'm new to these forums. I'm 17 years old. I've never been good at keeping track of my period, as far as specific dates go, but I know that by the 20th I usually have it. Around october 3rd I slept with my ex boyfriend, and that's the only sex i've had this month. It wasn't completely preotected, he only pulled out - which I realize was a stupid mistake on my part, and I know it's not a good form of birth control or anything like that.

So here I am, october 26 and i'm still lacking my period. I keep thinking that it's there, cuz I start feeling a little funky, but when I check there's nothing. I'm having occasional cramps, and lower-back pains. Also, frequent headaches and I also feel really sick, like i'm going to throw up, but I haven't. And I don't know if any of these are symptoms or anything, but i'm also having heat flashes. I get really hot, then really cold, it's a cycle. I took an e.P.T test this afternoon after school, and it came back negative.

And yet, I don't feel any more secure about this. I'm going to try another test tomorrow morning, cuz I heard that your first urination after waking up is the best to use.

But if it comes back negative, then what could this all mean? The symptoms i'm having and the lack of my period... Could the negatives be false, even though I should've gotten my period a week or more ago?

Someone just please give me some advice, and thanks for your time and help.

It may be a false negative, but if you're stressing about it that could also delay your period. The only way to know for sure is if you go to your doctor and ask for a blood test.
