Something that helps me is drinking tea with honey in it. Honey is real soothing. I don't know about tea though as it has caffein in it. But you could get some graham crackers and put honey on them. That's the only thing that I know for sure I can suggest to help.
All the other things like meds and stuff I would call the pharmacy and ask.

Have you tried a little bit of honey with a few drops of lime in it? It is really soothing and tastes really good.

Call your pharmacist, they will know. I took,.... I think it was benadryl dm. Can't remmeber for sure.
