Q: Pregnant With a Period While On the Pill?

I started taking amoxicillin on the 17th and 20-30 minutes after I took it and my birth control pill, I threw up. I continued to take the pill and the antibiotic and had sex a few times that week. I was told by my friend that I was screwed up on the pill for another week. My period came on tuesday and isn't normal for me. A friend told me that I could be pregnant and still have my period because i'm on the pill and should stop taking hte pill. Is there a chance of me being pregnant and should I stop taking the pill immediately and go to the doctor's and get a pregnancy test in the next 2 weeks?

Thanks!
