On the 30th I was to have a sonogram to
check on a cyst on my ovary. The
technician first tried regular ultrasound.
She said after checking with regular
ultrasound that she wouldn't have been
able to see my ovaries with the sonogram
anyway. So I ended up having a full
ultrasound anyway. Yea!
I got to see my little one. I was 15
weeks 3 days. It was moving around like
crazy in there! She couldn't get a clear
profile shot because the baby kept
sticking its hand up behind its face. We
got a good foot shot because the baby
pushed its foot right up against my outter
uterine wall. Then we also got a perfect
hand shot. The tech said seldom do you
get a perfect hand shot.
The full frontal shot was kinda scary.
Lol. It looked exactly like the pics you
see of aliens.
Hubby and I are hoping for a boy. The
tech said it was still early yet, but that
she didn't see any boy parts. However,
she only got one good shot between the
legs because the baby was moving so much,
and its legs were closed most of the time.
I am hoping I will be able to get one more
ultrasound to confirm the baby's sex. My
regular doc is out on her own maternity
leave. The fill-in told me medicaid only
pays for one ultrasound, so that was
probably the only one I will get. I am
hoping she is wrong, since it wasn't
supposed to be an ultrasound to begin
with, and since I have a cyst that has to
be monitored.
