Freaking Out. Somone Please Help Me...
Posted: 10-30-05 10:57am

Hi everyone
here it is:
on my first week on my birthcontrol pack (i'm taking estrostep by the way), I missed one pill. I took it as soon as I remembered, which was more than 12 hours later, and took the next one at it's regular time. The next day I bled and I am still bleeding (it has now been 5 days of bleeding). The bleeding is not heavy and it is more of a brown color. I had sex 2 days before I missed the pill but have had no sex after the missed pill.
My questions are:
could I be pregnant?
Am I bleeding from the one missed pill?
Does bleeding from one missed pill lasts so long?
Will I get my regular period still (which is due a week and a half from now)?
Should I get a pregnancy test?

Please help...This is my first time missing a pill ever.
Please...

If you actually released and egg while off of the pill(for the 12 hours) you could def. Be preg. For the sperm can live 5 days in the womans body

Take a pregnancy test to make sure.
When should your regular period be due?

My period is due 1 1/2 weeks from now (nov.11)

i forgot to mention that when I had sex 2 days before the missing pill, my partner used a condom. I hope that makes a difference somewhat.

How long does bleeding occur if you miss one pill?
How long does bleeding occur for that 'internal lining' if you're supposedly pregnant?

Thank you all for responding. Thank u, thank u =]

Dont worry at all there is a very slim chance of you being pregnant considering that your partner used a condom.
The fact you missed a pill probably trigerd your bodys natural reaction what you have now is probably your period continue taking the pill as if you just had your period. Remember also that stress could cause a similar reaction. For your own peace of mind take a pregnancy test!
