I use to have periods where they were more
brown then red when I was in high school.
My doctors told me not to worry about it,
that it could have been blood that wasn't
fully discharged from my last period and
also she said there could have been an
infection that my body was getting rid of.
It went away after time and I haven't
had it since.

Yeah, my periods are a mix of brown and
red over the period of 3-4 days.

When I got on birth control the same thing
started happening to me. I asked my
doctor about it and she said that the
pills weren't right for me, and that I
wasn't getting enough estrogen and that
was what that brown discoloration was
from...Are you on birth control? But also
my periods were irregular. The pill that
was giving me problems was ortho-tricyclin
lo.

I've been having brown and red periods
ever since my first one. Bcp's don't
really affect it.
