Chlamydia Treatment/recovery
Posted: 10-31-05 12:09pm

I've recently been diagnosed with having chlamydia on thursday. My doctor perscribed zithromax (4 pills taken all at once) which I took immediately thursday evening, and he also perscribed ciprofloxacin hcl 500 mg tablets to be taken twice a day, which I also took one pill of that thursday evening.

Immediately that evening (thursday) I felt like I was on heavy medication - went to bed, woke up friday and had bad dirahrea but then felt fine (medication wise). I noticed the discharge from my penis was less, but not gone.

Here's my question - when will the feelings go away? The doctor told me that I caught my chlamydia early because the signs were quite mute (but tests proved I had it - official results received on friday) so I didn't really have any pain or anything - just the discharge.

Well, it's not monday so it's been 3 days. I'm taking the ciprofloxacin every morning and night and I can't even tell i'm on a medication with that drug - which makes me wonder if it's working at all! Now - i'm assuming the zithromax is still working inside me even though I took that 3 days ago.

What I don't really understand is when the sensations i'm having is going to go away. Like I said - I didn't really have any pain or anything when I went to the doctor, but now I do have a achy and almost "itchy" urethra. It's most unpleasant. No real "pain" but highly uncomfortable. The discharge seems to be almost gone, but I can still see a teeny weeny bit.

When will the symptoms go away?
