I was really stupid and wasn't thinking I
could get pregnant again so soon after
having my first baby. I gave birth on
september 25th and had sex as soon as I
got done bleeding. I didn't think
anything about the 6 week rule even though
I should have. I haven't got my period
yet since I had the baby. I had some dark
brown spotting today and got really
worried cause when I got pregnant the
first time the same thing happened. Am I
preganant again or am just off schedule?
I just need some opinons before I go to
the doctor. Thanks.

Well I know that the most fertile time for
a woman to get pregnant is right after
having a baby for some reason but thats
what my professor says. The brown
spotting does sound like implantation
bleeding but it could be from having sex
so soon after the baby, I would wait and
see if you get your period if not I would
go see a doctor instead of taking a hpt to
be for sure.

Ditto what the others said. Also you had
your baby about a month ago, you wouldn't
have gotten your period yet and if you are
breastfeeding it will be even longer, I
did not get my first period till my son
was like 2 1/2 months old and that was
cause I finally went on the pill.

I remember after my children, scant brown
bleeding after I thought bleeding had
stopped, but it was just the left over
bleed from the birth.

I disagree- I got my first after baby
period a month to the day after the birth-
28 days exactly. I was breastfeeding. I
also had sex as soon as I finished
bleding, but we used a condom because you
can be very fertile right after birth.
Ask your doctor at your 6 week check-up.
He would be able to do a test or
something- my aunty found out she was
pregnant with her 2nd at her 6 week check
after her first, and then sound out she
was pregnant with her third, at the 6 week
check after her 2nd !!!!!
Her 3 girls are very close, it wouldn't be
the end of the world to be pregnant so
soon.
Good luck either way!
