My wife and I are in the beginning of our 9th week, and she was just at the doctors getting an internal u/s, done. This is our second u/s the first being about 1 1/2 weeks ago. During the first visit she got to see the sac and a heart beat. During the visit today she wasn't able to see a heart beat. We have to go back in a couple of days to check again, should we have hope? Help us ease our minds..Bb

That it wasn't good... That everything looked good, the baby was growing but didn't show a heart beat. We will know more thursday. Just hoping to get some reassurance on the whole matter. Bb

Maybe they just couldn't find it this time. That kind of thing happens even in women who are further along. Don't panic...They probably just couldn't find it!!!

God bless and good luck,
teresa

I wouldn`t worry too much.Mistakes can be made on ultrasounds. When my daughter in law was 8 months pregnant she had an ultrasound and was told that it looked like the babies face was deformed. They booked another ultrasound for a week later so of course we worried ourselves sick for 7 days. It turned out that everything was fine and the Dr. Figured that it was just a shadow that they had seen so they didn`t get a clear picture the first time.
