Sometimes an std and a uti can have the
same symptoms. Uti's usually burn when
you urinate and sometimes there's pressure
at the bottom of the abdomen, like you
need to go pee, but when you go there's
really nothing that comes out.
I think you should get her to the dr and
have her checked out. Either way, she
needs to be treated with antibiotics.
Good luck!

I have told her over and over that she
needs to see the doc....She has recently
told me that they arent using protection
either....I feel so lost right now....She
is 19....And this is her first real
boyfriend....Figures he would get what he
wanted from the beginning.....He told her
that too....That he wanted sex,,,at first
she broke up with him because of him
saying that...She said then "i aint
ready".....Then a few months later she
gives it up....Now she acts like she cant
live without him...And he is a loser! He
wont work...Only parties and gets
tats....He was gone for a
week......Getting more tats......Didnt
even call her........I hate guys like
that!

Sounds like she is getting screwed in more
ways that one. Too bad she gave it up to
a pos like that. Now she will probably
have a child with this pos and you will be
stuck raising it. Sounds like a jerry
springer program in the making.

Do you see anything positive about your
daughter's situation. I don't. Seems
like she has made some really poor
decisions. She needs to see her doctor
and get her medical problem taken care of
and find a more positive relationship. I
hope things work out for her.

Have you sat down with you daughter and
actually told her how you feel? Dont talk
down to your kids. Even though shes
technically not a child anymore. Uti is
going to make her sick, as an std would,
so either way it's a good idea to go see
her doctor. Most stds have
symptoms...While others take months to
show up. Get online and compare the
symptoms and then compare them to what
she's experiencing. If youre suspicious
that it's an std get her checked out. You
mentioned that her b/f 's not the right
person for her. Does she know that hes
std free? With the boyfriend issue and
you knowing that she can do better, have a
sit down with your daughter. Get paper
and a pen and get her to write down the
things that she dislikes about him. Shell
probly say that theres nothing major, but
theres always something wrong with
someone. Then write down and discuss the
possible outcomes if that behavior of his
continues. Then you write down why you
think hes such a bad man. Maybe that will
get her to see that she can do better.
Talk to her. Try to get to the root of
the problem. Was she missing a father
figure...Dating him makes her feel
loved/important etc. Once youve done that
together or just her, make a list of
characteristics that she wants to find in
her prince charming. By doing that shell
hopefully realize that she has and needs
to show herself more self worth. Hope
that helps a lil bit!!!
