Hi everyone!! I am new to this site and I
had a quick question hopefully some of you
could help me with an answer.
I have been on the pill for almost a year
now (ortho-tri cyclen lo) do to a very
hectic past couple of weeks, I missed 3 of
my pills. My husband and I have been
having unprotected sex because I figured
it wasn't a big deal only missing a couple
of them. I just finished my period about
a week ago. Just today I noticed while
going to the restroom that I had a pinkish
watery discharge (no odor or itching or
redness) I went online to health sites and
it kind of sounds like it could be
implantation bleeding. They say it is
usually a light pink watery discharge. I
was wondering, #1 can I get pregnant after
just having my period a week ago? And #2
could I get pregnant by only missing 3 of
my pills in the past 3 weeks??
Please right back asap

Most women are more likely to get pregnant
between 11-14 days after their period,
unless you are one of the few that ovulate
during their period. In this case if you
had sex during or right after your period
you could be pregnant. Implantation
bleeding usually occurs about a week or so
after conception.
(light pink or dark brown-ish blood)

That is good to know, but I guess then I
could have gotten pregnant before my
period. I don't know, my body feels
funny. I'm gassy, and feel bloated, and I
had light pink discharge for about 2 days.
I'm not really sure what that was about.
My body has always been very normal when
it comes to my cycle and I had never seen
that before. I missed 3 of my pills in
the last 2 weeks as well. Well, when do
you think I should take a test? I know if
you take it too early it won't show
anything.

The test usually gives you clear results a
couple of days after the time you are
supposed to have your period. If you get
a negative pregnancy test and you don't
have your period yet but you are having
pregnancy symptoms then wait about another
week or so and take another test.
If that doesn't work then go to your
doctor and ask for a blood test.
