Just Reflecting On a Vital Issue Posted: 01-01-06 14:12pm
This is exactly the forum for you! Money
is probably the biggest issue with any
chronic weakness. The way the world is
set up, survival of the fittest is sadly
the law and how does it feel to see your
friends gradually disappear watching them
climb the ladder you were once on?
Firstly, you are now different and no
longer in the rat race. Hurrah for that,
alone! Take a little solace is smelling
the roses, even if the fridge is empty. I
know that one. Secondly, poverty is
relative to your detachment from social
norms. People should know you are ill.
They can be indifferent but they know and
even strangers (sometimes your best
friends!) have to cool it.
Next, your mind is beyond your cns and has
a natural inclination for normal life of
course. But "the flesh is weak". Knowing
your actual state physically is vital
before undertaking any money-making
enterprise. Then proceding wisely, but
with courage, is best. See peletier's
book "sound mind sound body" for deep
wisdom and inspiration. This is not
supermarket reading and shows how people
with capacity overcome grave disabilities
and come out on top professionally due to
will power and strategies. You have to be
strategic in that world out there, even if
not a devil.
Lastly, I have studied business at grad
school. Are you an experienced business
person, even on the smallest levels? My
feeling is go ahead with networking on low
or no investment levels. See how savvy
you become. This is vert general but,
again, the mind is beyond body, and using
your mind beyond your body, without
depending upon the latter too much, is a
consideration. I'm going on. But you
struck a critically important note here
for everyone. In aother words you are not
alone! Just be careful about the internet
gurus and their business plans. The
management of ms comes before the
management of business always. You are
feeling the crunch. Wow, how that feels
over the long term! Work should be
pleasant. Be frugal - sometimes we spend
more than we think on "necessities" - try
and put away a few dollars a week
continually with determination. If you
have trouble writing and communicating
relax and flow as you read and get a
handle on your new venture. But we all
have to keep track of our own progression
with ms. Communications and a coonsistent
presencce are primary for making a living
independently in any field I know of. But
the internet disguises your absence,
although it is complex in setting up.
Look into it. There are good sites for
weaker people. If I discover something I
will hope to get back to you. Search
around but hold on to yout credit car
number. Maybe contact with richdad.Com
may give you a few ideas and they may
respond to enquires from people in your
condition. Even in building a network,
there will have to be a sound business
plan of some kind and a product for
distribution. I hope this has helped and
not challenged you. You seem like a very
kind soul. If the above is not applicable
just ignore it. Books like "out of the
box for life" help in psychologically
dealing with the "impossible".
