Ibuprofen And My Stomach Posted: 11-01-05 17:52pm
Hey all!! I have a tummy question. Well,
I take ibuprofen about 3 times a day for a
bad tooth ache. I know...I should go to
the dentist but I can't becasue I have no
dental insurance. Anyways, i'v heard lots
of things about this being bad for your
tummy. What will taking this med everyday
do to my stomach?? Any really bad
damage??
Please reply,
teresa

What I know about it is that it can be
upsetting to the stomach for some. But no
adverse affects when used in moderation.

Nurofen And Stomach Ulcer! Posted: 11-21-05 16:29pm
Hi there I got an ulcer through taking
these! Very painful but was taking them
for 3 months and not eating, hence the
ulcer! So as long as you have them with
food you should be ok!

If you take them with food or not doesn't
really matter when it comes to that.It
sure is better than aspirin but I would
rather spend a couple of dollars for the
dentist than keep taking that stuff.I used
to take a lot of those because I had to
but it sure was poison for my
gastritis/ulcer.I would trade the
toothache for that kind of pain.

Pain meds shouldn't be taken on a daily
basis. You can use a tea bag on the
tooth to reduce the pain. I suggest you
get the tooth pulled since you can't
afford to have it fixed.
Just to let you know I brush my teeth with
coconut oil after I use baking soda.
Coconut makes my teeth very clean.
