Unexplainable Pain Related to Auto Accident
Posted: 11-01-05 19:25pm

I'm a 22 year old, 6'1, around 200lbs, african american male, who was in great health, never broken a bone or had to be hospitalized for anything mental or physical. Back in january of this year, I was in a head on collision that flipped my van over landing on the driver side.

Since then i've had mri's done on why whole spine, brain, and my left knee and shoulder. I've had x-ray's done on my left arm and shoulder, chest, ribs, left leg and upper and lower back. I've had emg's done on my left extremties and a cat scan done on my chest.

With all that work done the only finding are a cyst found in left side of my brain which has unofficially ( meaning not put in doctor's report) been taken into consideration for headaches i've been having on the left side of my head. And the emg determined that i've torn nerve roots at my 5th and 6th cervical which would explain numbness that I have on my left side after I make certain movements. It was also determined that I either stretched or damaged my brachial plexus, don't remember how...I think from the emg.

Problem is I still have bad aheadaches. I still have pains in my chest(sternum) when I laugh and sneeze. My ribs on my left just about where my elbow is and my chest to the left(my left) under my sternum gives me shots of anywhere from numb to piercing pain at times when i'm breathing or move in a certain way. Along my shoulders, between my actual shoulder and neck I get pain when I lean on my arm. At the base of my neck when I twist or turn my head it feels like something is moving and I can hear a click like something move our and back into place. My shoulder also makes a loud clicking noise when lift or turn my arm. I have back pain along the middle of my back on the left of my spine and at the pelvis to the left. My knee still gives out on me at times and still give me pain.

Because there has been so much work done has only shown everything to be normal, I know from reading files and from how I feel when in the office that the doctors pretty much have written me off as a hypochondriac, or dishonest and making things up.

My question is considering I still have these list of ailments and these test haven't supported any of my claims is there any other tests you could recommend me ask for that might better shed light on whats still wrong with me?
