Need Help!

Had my u/s yesterday as well as appt with ob-gyn, the whole point of the ultrasound was to see if my placenta moved and a decision be made if I go back to work or not. When I saw ob-gyn he said I could go back, I asked if he had results from u/s he said no and that if something was wrong the u/s tech would have said something, that was not the case when I found out originally.

I kept asking for u/s results and they wouldnt go look so we talked abit longer and I left, when I got home I talked with my mom and she told me I should call back and get the answer I needed. I had a nurse call back and said the dr is right but they still didnt get the results from the u/s they were taking the previous one I had oct 9 that stated I had lowlaying placenta with part of it over cervix but they said it was just low laying placenta.

Why would I have had three doctors come in my room 3 weeks ago and tell my I had placenta previa, when every dr said there is nothing to worry about even my husband looked into it and its dangerous (hubby is nurse.) I dont want to jeopardize this baby in anyway, I want a healthy baby and I wish I never had this condition but ob-gyn wouldnt accept that there was anything wrong with me.

I dont have complete previa but marginal and now I have two choices, go back to work and hope that I carry this baby to term or quit and stay home but I would be guranteed more of a full term birth. Im so lost I have no idea what to do but I have to notify my work tomorrow, why is it I have such a hard time with drs. Can someone give me advice?

Hubby is asking dr he works with today but even then we are both upset that condition hasnt changed and they are sending me back to work (worried something may go wrong.)

any info would help, I really need it! Sorry for the long post!

Jobs may come and go but your children are yours for a lifetime. I'd quit and make sure I have a healthy baby! I went through the same thing and I ended up quitting a job which was nursing also because I wanted my baby very much and when I would go to work I would start bleeding, this went on for 3 weeks. Finally I said to myself I am not gonna lose this baby for any job so I quit and I started to take it easy and I havent bled since and I am now roughly 16 weeks. And as far as I know it the us tech cant tell you anything its the doctors responsability to tell you the results. Best of luck to you!

The u/s tech can not give you any results at all. They only do the work and the doctor is the one who has to tell you things. I would go to a differnt doctor, but first I would demand that they give you your results that is your right if they don't give them to you then you can demand to get a copy of your file- they have to give it to you although they might charge 20 dollars or something to print it off- but they have to- under law give you your test results no matter what they say. If he still wont and you go to a differnt dr and the new dr says that something is wrong you call a lawyer and sue the pants off the other guy- because he is probably doing it to other people to. Protect yourself and your baby and do not take their crap! They think that you are stupid and don't know any better. Get a second opinion.

I would say to stay home and take it easy jess. At least until you get the results you need.
