So Excited And Only 17
Posted: 11-03-05 15:35pm

Hey! I have posted two other messages, but this one is different. My . Was suppose to come on october 31st. It hasn't came on yet. My fiance and I are hoping it's because i'm pregnant. We had sex on the days I was fertile. I took a cheap pregnancy test on sunday, it showed negative. Do some test work better than others? Is there a chance I could be pregnant? I really pray that I am. My breast are extremely sore and I sleep for several hours at a time. I also use the restroom a lot. I just want a little advice. I am planning on going to our local health dept. For a blood test. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Go live your life and be young, have fun, go to college, get to know each other, get a dog, get a good paying job, go to prom.

You are so young, can I ask why you are in a rush?

Best wishes............

sadmommy, I am not in a rush. I plan on attending college after I graduate. My gpa is 3.45 and I have a 27 on my act. I am a great student. My fiance is a freshman in college. He graduated from high school with a 30 act and a perfect 4.0 gpa. It's not that we're rushing. We just planned our life early. Do you have any advice concerning me being pregnant? Please help, if you can.

Ashley, it may have been too soon. Blood test are more accurate, get that done asap so you can start taking pre-natal vitamins.

If you're not pregnant, try to enjoy your lives... Believe me it's much harder to continue your education when you have a baby to look after.

I wish you all the best!

Ashley, my advise if you already maybe pregnant is to go to the clinic as soon as possible.

As much as you may think that you are ready, there is nothing that prepares you for becoming a parent. I am not downing you, you may very well have a good head on your shoulder and be very much able to be a mother now, but why the rush? I am just saying to go live life and have fun. We are only young once and as much as we may wish, there is no going back. I think when you are older you will understand.............

I wish you all the best, I really do sugar..................

Love, tammy

Hi ashley, I was just wondering how you were feeling? Are you scared? It is always normal to be alittle nervous even if you have been trying....

I am here if you would like to talk..........

Yes, I am kind of scared. I don't know how to tell my parents. My fiance is so excited. I just want to know the right foods to eat. My next appointment is in december. Why so late?

At the begining of your pregnancy you will only go see your dr about once a month ( unless you your dr feels you need more) every situation is diffrent, but for a "normal" pregnancy once a month is normal.

It is a lot to take in and handle. I think you should just be open and honest with your mother, that is always the best way to handle a situation. I know it is not easy, and it is over whelming. Having a baby is a big deal, there is allot to get prepared for sugar......

Did the dr tell you everything looked good so far? I will be thinking about you today!!

Yes ma'am. She said everything was fine. She gave me some books for me to read. I also got my prenatal vitamins. She said, I didn't have to start them today. I took one anyway, because I want my baby to have a healthy brain and spinal cord.

You should also go buy some folic acid 400 mg pills and take them as well. Thats what my dr told me to do anyway, he said they dont put enough in prenantal pills. You might want to ask. But it if anything your only help the baby more so I did it. I also started to see allot about it on the news.

Have you told your mom?

Congrats on your pregnancy.....

When you first become pregnant you will only see your doc like every month or so depending on your doc, when you get about 6 months to 7 months you will start to go 2 times a month, then towards the end you will start to go once a week.
Food to eat: there is a great book that is call what to eat when expecting (i think that is it) I read it when I was pregnant with my son and it helped a lot, and there is also another book call what to expect with expecting and that just goes through the whole pregnancy, questions to ask your doc and everything, those 2 books are really good books

I haven't told my parents yet. I don't know what to say. My mother already knows my period is very late. I just don't know the right words to say. My doctor said I should really think about it before I tell her.

okay just my personal experience. Prenatal vitamins + 400micrograms of folic acid= horrendous gas
i mean you will clear rooms!
That much folic acid is unnecessary...According to my obgyn

Well I guess to each their own, cause I dont really care if it gives me gas as long as my baby has a better chance at being healthy......
