Could I Be a Schizophrenic? Posted: 11-05-05 10:22am
Hello! I'm 13 years old and have been
acting odd lately. I am seeing a
psychiatrist who won't give a name to my
condition yet, but said that I probably
have elevated dopamine levels in the front
of my brain. I was wondering if anybody
on this webpage thinks that I could be
schizophrenic based on my symptoms...
1.Hallucinations - audio/visual
2.Delusions - I know the government has my
house bugged
3.Paranoia - I think people will hurt me
or poision my food
4.Strange posturing - it feels like i'm
frozen in that one spot
5.Anti-social - I trust a few of my
friends, I won't go out in public because
I am so afraid that people will read my
mind (by eye contact)
6.Fidgeting
7.I sometimes say odd things that make
sense to me but not to other people
(jumbled thoughts).
I am on risperdal and lorezapam for my
symptoms and that is starting to help a
little.
I would really appreciate your opinion on
my symptoms.
