hi, I have had 2
surgerys to date, but I still have pain,
swelling,clicking, and last week it just
went out. My doctor is saying maybe I
should try a weighted knee brace &
some series lube shots. This over 2
years and counting, I think I would
like a knee replacement. My age is 41
and this seems to also be a problem with
my doctor. Will this help?

Hey there-- im so sorry to hear of your
surgery-- can I ask how this problem
started? My knee is very swollen and
clicking and agony pain--- I fell and
injured it -- what did the surgery show?

I had a total knee replacement nearly two
years ago. About a month ago, the
patella fractured vertically. A piece
about 3/8 inch wide and full length of the
patella separated from the patella. It
didn't affect the plate on the back of the
patella. My doctor has never seen
anything like it. He doesn't know what
to do as of now. I have to go back in a
month. Meanwhile, the knee fills up with
blood and is very painful. What would be
your recommended treatment.

Do not use gii orthotics knee braces.
They are expensive and start tearing
within weeks. Worst is that their
support is not nearly as good as other
brands and tend to retain moisture causing
great discomfort. Some are so bulky that
they do not even fit in jeans.
