I'm on ortho tri cyclen lo and i've been
taking it religiously at 10am each
morning. Once last week I missed it and
took it at 3pm (5 hrs later).
My bf and I always use protection, but
this last time after he finished he went
to pull out and realized the condom wasn't
totally on him, it was just kind of laying
inside me.
So, now i'm wondering if I could be in
trouble. I just wondered if anyone knows
approximately around the day in a cycle
when we ovulate and for how long we're
fertile. I've heard it happens around day
14 and could last for approximately 4
days. I think the day we had sex and this
happened was on my day 20.
I'm just really scared and confused. I'm
within days of getting my period,
(hopefully) but I just need some answers
now to comfort me.

You're probably fine...Even though you
took a pill late, chances are you didn't
ovulate. 5 hours isn't too long...I
think your window to take the pill is 3
hours, and i've heard some people say it's
even longer.
Do you remember what day of your cycle you
were late taking the pill? Ovulation
usually occurs around day 14, depending on
the length of your cycle. But the
possibility that you ovulated is slim,
especially if only one pill was taken
late...And stress can make your period
late, so try not to worry!

I know I was late after day 14; I think it
was like 17? I think i'll be okay too,
the more I read, the more I realize it
should be fine.

cycle gets all messed up, so sorry to tell
u this...But you might be prego!

It says on ortho lo pill instructions that
if you are late taking it one then take it
as soon as you remember and no back up
method is needed. I hope you didn't
listen to the uncalled for advice you
recieved previously.
