Pre-pregnancy Symptoms

To whom ever can help me!!!

I am 19 and kinda think I might be pregnant. I am not late on my period as it is not time for me to have it yet, but I have some symptoms I believe. I've been reading trying to figure out if cramping is normal in the early signs of pregancy, but still kind of unsure. The kind of cramps I have been having are worse than my regular period cramps. They are like knives stabbing in me and hurt so bad to where I curl myself up in a ball and just cry. My mom said this could be a sign of a tubal pregnancy by chance but I have no clue. I have also had some constipation here lately which I read could be a sign. I have been uncontrollaby emotional and been having mood swings more than usual. I used to only eat a small breakfast and one meal a day or two small snacks, now I find myself eating 3 full meals a day if not more, which is very uncommon for myself. My boyfriend always kind of kids around about me being pregnant because he can tell I have changed and told me yesterday that my boobs have gotten even bigger than before. My mom thinks that I may be and said she has been having a lot of dreams about me telling her I am pregnant. I know that had nothing to do with it, I was just saying. I'm just trying to figure out if my symptoms could in fact be a pregnancy and if it is sounding healthy. I am worried out of my mind and all I want to do is cry. My boyfriend is supposed to be buying me an early pregancy test today but I am scared to take it because if I am pregnant I will cry because I will be worried about everything, and if i'm not pregnant I will cry even more because all that will do is make me sad and upset. I know this is incredibly long, but if someone could please let me know what may be going on and what I should do I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks so much for your time and I hope someone will respond very soon.

Thanks,
amy

I also have been having major breast tenderness for the past 2 weeks or more probably. I have been much more tired than before and have been going to bed probably 2 to 3 hours earlier than I used to. I have hardly ever gotten tender/sore breasts due to my period before and now all of a sudden if they get touched or squeezed too hard, it hurts alot. I think that's all now... Thanks, amy

It sounds like it could be many things such as eptopic pregnancy, even an s.T.D you should really go see a doctor as soon as possible and it would probably be a good idea to use protection. You have time to have babies.Enjoy it.

Posted: 11-21-05 16:49pm

Im a week or so later than usual, and ive never been late in the past.
My boyfriend and I slept together, and he didnt come in me.
But my boobs have been way more tender and sore then ever before
im terrified to be pregnant. And ive asked around to people who I know are pregnant and we have some smiliar symptoms. I only have my sister to talk to cause I feel like im letting my mom and friends down when I talk about it. Please help. Anything would be nice..

It sounds like pregnancy is a possibility. If you are due to start within the next 4 days or so, an early pregnancy test may tell you.

i would take a test.
The symptoms that I get are tender boobs & being way more tired than usual. I was actually having these symptoms for about the past week or so - so I did a test this past wed. It was neg. I waited until sat & there were 2 lines.

Good News... Kind of

Well, I wasn't pregnant, no diseases, nothing. I was just having tremendous period cramps and then my period started early. I had taken a hpt anyway but I took so early before my pd. Was due that I wasnt sure if it would have come out correct or not. But my boyfriend bought a few extras just incase it ever happens again we will be prepared. I was beginning to think it was an ectopic preg. Because my mom had told me the same thing and I was worried out of my mind. But it was nothing. I know I have a lot of time to have babies being only 19, but my boyfriend is 27 and I know he wants a family soon, and even tho I am only 19 I do as well. Sounds stupid I know, but unfortunatly i've always matured on a higher level than everyone else my age. But he probably can't have children anyway, which depresses me, so gettting preg. May not be an issue for me at all. Thanks for your advice and suggestions. I really do appreciate it!

Glad to hear everything has turned out! My husband & I met when I was 18 & he was 27. So I know what you mean about the family thing. I have a 7, 4, 2 yr old, & another on the way. I also have a 10 yr old step son. My husband is going to be 34 in dec, so this will definately be our last child. I'm sure things will be just fine - & enjoy your time with together now before you guys have kids:)

Could It Be?

I had sex with my boyfriend when I was on my period, and when I was coming off of it. We didn't use protection and now i'm alomst 2 months late on my period. I took a test when I was around 3 days late last month and it said neg. Now, i'm tired all the time, I feel dizzy, i'm always hungry, my boobs are swelled and hurt so bad, and i'm having a lot of discharge. It's just white and doesn't have an odor, so I know I don't have an infection. I'm also having major mood swings. One minute i'm fine and the next I just want to cry. I was on the depo shot for like 3yrs. And went back to the pill and started having periods again. I'm never late or skip them, so could it be possible that I am pregnant? I'm scared to go to the doctor or take another test. I don't know what to do. If anyone can help please let me know. Thanks so much for your time.

You need to take another test, if you took the last one when you were only 3 days late it could have possibly been too early. Don't be nervous to take a test, you either are or you're not, nothing you can do about it at this point. But, try not to work yourself up, I have a friend who is married and her husband had a vasectomy 3 yrs ago. She only sleeps with him and yet her last period was like 3 mo late. She had all the pregnancy symptoms and she wasn't pregnant. Just one of those weird girl things.
