you can't eat too much fish, especially those high in mercury
try to stay away from caffeine

I read somewhere you can olny eat 12 oz of fish a week or something like that and as far as the deli meats my doc said it's ok as long as you warm them up first in the microwave to kill the bacteria. As far as medicine I have been having extremely bad headaches and my doc said the only safe pain releiver is tylenol. I don't really remember anything else sorry

Foods And Medicine
As far as medicines go you can take anything made by tylenol. Even there cold medications. If you have a serious headache you can take ibuprophin up till your 28th week. After 28 wks do not take it. Robitussin is okay. Just follow the directions very carefully. Do not take anything with aspirin in it. Now foods, fish is okay but not too much of it. If you eat tuna make sure it is packed in water not the oil. Soft cheeses are a no no, you really can eat just about everything you want. But it is best to eat healthy. If you eat a lot of junk food and not nutritious foods your child has a chance of being smaller at birth vs. A baby who had a mama that ate healthy. Caffeine should only be taken in moderation. I am 34 weeks now and I can't give up caffeine completely. I drink tea and some soda and it this with my first pregnancy and she is fine. But too much caffeine can cause problems not only to the baby but you. So watch that. Cchocolateyou should be eaten in moderation, it has caffeine too. And always make sure food is cooked well. Don't have that rare steak or pink burger. Everything needs to be cooked until it is done. But you should be fine with most everything you eat. Good luck!!!
