I Have Some Advice

Lie, lie ,lie

i have a similar situation. Medicaid does not check for employment, not in my case. I said that I live w/ a relative and list monthly expenses and told them that I did not work. Don't mention you were married. Just say you are a single parent. Always look poor when going to get any state money. Because these days health cost too much to do it alone.

Another thing with medicaid, if you are a husband and wife and are pregnant...You are considered a family of 3 not a family of 2. Anytime you are pregnant that raises your family size which also raises your income bracket. Well, at least in my state that is.

Yes I do believe it varies from state to state but there are different types of medicaid. If you are over the bracket tey have a program where you can pay a copay. My mom is on medicare but needed additional ns. She was over the income limit but they offered er a plan where she has to pay 50 a mth.

Go to the health deprtment. They don't charge very much at all for prenatal care. If you hubby is working, i'm sure he can atleast afford that. His baby should be number one anyways (after .God and yourself). The helath department usually takes good care of you and your baby. My son and I both are on medicade and we go to the helath department...I love it.

God bless and good luck,
teresa
