I Explained
Posted: 12-11-03 10:57am

What I was trying to say is my last normal period was nov 2 and then I had a period nov30 and I just spotted tell dec 2 my periods are regular and neaver this short and I just took a hpt and it was negative so my question is was it to early to take a hpt or I read that a urinary tract infection may make the test results wrong so I am still worried so if any could help or heard that a urinary tract infection could make a hpt wrong I went into paternityangel.Com and it said that dec.11 is the day to get a postive hpt if I am sorry I did not explain in the last one thanks again

hey uncertain-
so, you had a normal period on november 2nd. Did you have unprotected sex after nov. 2nd? So that means that you should have started your period around november 30th, (if your cycle is usually 28 days), which you were right on time, but it only lasted about 3 days, ( ended dec. 2nd), and was very light. Well, if you did have unprotected sex after nov. 2nd, than you may be pregnant. Especially if you had sex 10-14 days after the start of your last normal period, (nov. 2nd). That means that if you had sex at anytime after nov. 2nd, than there is a chance that you are pregnant. You have a greater chance of getting pregnant if you had unprotected sex between nov. 12th and nov.16th. This is because you ovulate around this time. If you did have sex around this time, than you can take a pregnancy test after the last day that you should've had your period, which would be dec.7th. But... If you had sex later in the month of november, than you should take a test later in the month of december. Whether you are pregnant or not, there is a reason that you had such a light, spotty period. If you have a u.T.I. That is not taken care of, than it can turn into a serious infection. An infection, such as a yeast infection, or kidney infection, may cause you to have an abnormal period, or miss it completely. Also whether this is the case now, or in the future: if you have a u.T.I., bladder infection, kidney infection, or any other type of infection that deals with the reproductive system, and you are or become pregnant, and you do not get the infection treated properly, than it is possible to miscarry you unborn baby. (or go into pre-term labor). It is always important to see your doctor. Well, I hope I could help. Let me know when you take the test !
I wish you the best of luck!

I hope I wasnt too pushy, I just know the pain of a u.T.I. All too well. Actually I have one now. My doctor called in antibiotics for me, and I get bloodwork and urine culture tomorrow. I have them anywhere from 1 to 3 times a month. I am following the rules exactly. Do you have it often? Does anyone know what else I can do to help? I remember posting a thread to someone giving her advice on u.T.I's not long ago, trouble is, the advice I gave her does not seem to work for me...

Thanks,
marissa

me and my husband do not use condoms, except when I am on antibiotics( b/c they may counteract w/ my birth control), but I still always get u.T.I.'s. It is really irritating me in more ways than one! Well, I totally understand that you do not want to go to him for fear of stressing him out, but you have to remember that you dont have to stress alone either. It is totally up to you whether or not you chose to tell him your concerns now, or wait until you know for sure, but I am here for you 100%!

Keep me posted about your situation, and let me know if you find a "cure" for the "oh so very terrible- u.T.I."

hope to hear from ya soon,
marissa
