Due Tomorrow !!!!!! Posted: 11-09-05 01:28am
Ladies, I have had a moment of clarity-
while replying to a question asking about
hot baths at 39 weeks.
When your time approaches, don't waste
your time and energy trying to hurry
things up. I don't think anything will
work unless you are on the brink of labour
anyway.
I've been drinking rasbeery leaf tea for
ages, switched to rasberry leaf capsules
last week, and started drinking cumin seed
tea almost hourly since yesterday. I've
been taking evening primrose oil for a
couple of weeks, and even putting a couple
of capsules internally to help soften my
cervix- big fat nothing all 'round. I've
blisters from walking, my nipples are
nealry falling off with all the
stimulation i've been gicing them, and I
think i'm getting arthritis in my thumbs
and forefingers from the same, my husband
is exhausted (not to mention winded) with
all the sex, my mouth is raw with eating
fresh pineapple, and i've got a stomach
and fanny full of everything i've read
that will help bring on labour.
I bought black cohosh (which just made me
feel sick) and even had a shot of castor
oil, which is apparently a favourite with
midvwives- I had the runs for ages and
ended up with a heamorriod (very nice)
i don't know what i'm more tired of,
pregnancy or home remedies !!!!!!
I should have been spending all this time
and energy enjoying the last time i'll
have alone with my daughter before her
little sister arrives.
That's what i'm going to do right now, go
make some memories with her, take some
photos, capture this precious time while
we've got it.
Talk to you in a couple of days.
(what's the bet I go into labour now that
i'm not soo keen? !!!!!)
Good luck el!
Wishing you a very healthy baby and easy
labor :d

sometimes.

Enjoy the time left with your daughter,
& also enjoy the time you have left
being pregnant. Before you know it you'll
be missing that big ol' belly!
Good luck - I hope everything goes well!!
