I'm not sure at what point the doctor can
tell the sex of the baby by ultrasound but
I went to my first doctors appt on the 1st
of november and she said that my insurance
will not cover an ultrasound unless the
doctor feels that there is complication
somewhere like not being able to hear the
heatbeat or something like that. Is
there anyone else that there insurance
doesn't cover ultrasounds and is there
anyway around it? How much does an
ultrasound cost???

If your insurance doesn't cover it, you
can see about going to a college that has
a dms (diagnostic medical sonography)
program and having the students practice
on you. They have that at my school, but
they prefer not to scan in the first
trimester. I just think it's a good way
to get around paying for an ultrasound.
