Not good, they just had it on the news yesterday, hair dyes contains metallic ingredients which could be harmful. In canada they are going to get manufacturers removes lead as of next years they need to find a new hair dye recipe minus lead, lead is known to cause brain development issues, henna is safe to the best of my knowledge!!

You shouldn't dye your hair in the first tri. I dyed my hair about 3 times while preggy (i have premature grey-boo) but only from about 14 weeks on and don't do it in your bathroom, do it in your kitchen where it's airy.

I would wait until your second trimester. I did. The fumes made me kinda sick so make sure you have windows open and you get plenty of fresh air. I asked my doctor if it was okay to dye my hair and he told me that if I really wanted to it was fine. So just give a few more weeks.
