Im 18...and Im Seriously Scared...help Me! Somehow! Posted: 11-10-05 09:34am
Im 18 years old and for the past 6 months
my hair has been falling out at an
extraordinary rate. Then it started to
slow down and then it keeps picking back
up again. The thing is the hairs arent
growing back. None of my parents or their
parents are bald...Neither are my
brothers. This is really starting to
scare me literally to death. The thought
of me losing hair at such an early age has
put...And I know their stupid thoughts
into my head. I.E suicide. I used to get
bullied as a child for the way I looked
and I cant deal with losing hair at an
early age and getting pointed out as a
freak...Again.
I don't do much exercise and I was
wondering if this could have something to
do with it. I'm really really worried!
Help me!

I've been in your footsteps, but only
about 8 months ago. I am also 18, and I
noticed my hair falling out. I was
devistated thinking, c'mon i'm young, I
don't need this! I'll tell you some
things you can try. Now, of course you
know theres a handful of hair products out
there. I use/used kevis ( www.Kevis.Com), was I
sceptical? Hell yeah I was, but you know
what. After about... 5 days I noticed
much less hair falling out, and after a
couple weeks, it stopped falling out
completely. I was amazed as hell, but
the key thing is you have to use to
product right. Here is another thing,
you seem very stressed out about this, and
this is natural, so was i. What you got
to do is relax, the more stress you put on
yourself, the worse it'll get. Try this
also, this may sound silly, but hey it
helps alot. Another reason why hair
falls out is lack of circulation to the
scalp, being stressed can also reduce
circulation. What I do after ever time I
take a shower is massage my scalp, it'll
increase blood flow and promote healtier
hair. I actually lay on my bed with my
head hanging over the side so i'm hanging
somewhat upside down. I'm not 100% sure
if that helps but I do know that blood
rushes to my head so hey, couldn't hurt
(just don't pass out or anything, lol).
But yes, i've been using that kevis
product for maybe 6-7 months and I can
actually see hair growth where I did not
expect hair to ever come back (hairline).
I hope this proved to be useful. And
you only need to use the product for a
year to receive full benefits, sure it's a
bit pricey but theres no drugs that will
mess with your body, it's all topical.
Propecia is a common hairloss drug, but
you have to take a pill a day for the rest
of your life! And if you stop, your hair
will eventually fall back out(and theres
no proof that it works on hairlines).
There are sexual side effects that are
very common and sometimes devistating with
that drug as well.
Good luck!

Get Your Heart Rate Up Posted: 11-13-05 20:43pm
As brian stated above, if you do jog or
bike it will help you out... Lack of
circulation is one of the key things about
hair loss, although its not common. But
as you said you do not get much exercise
so in your case this could be the problem,
or it could be because your moving out of
the puberty faze. This is happening to me
right now, although I have not lost a lot
of hair, I have easily lost more than 150+
a day which is far higher than the avg
50-100 hair strands lost per day.

You Are Not the Only One. Posted: 01-12-07 10:52am
Hi,
i wanted to say I know how hard it is to
go through this. You are not the only
one. I have been through the same
period. I started losing hair when I was
17, and now I am 22. Mental depression,
dissatisfaction with everything. You
name it...
Just wanted to tell you how I have been
able to stop my hair loss and start some
growth. I have started using provillus
it has changed my life. It is an herbal
product and in one month stopped the hair
loss and a little after 2 months I started
to see the hair growth.

Dont worry, you can always use a spray or
wigs. Think abot it....oneday you look
like Elvise the next jennifer aniston, ir
even stone cold....you know.
If your still worried and you really don't
want to loss your hair, start exercising,
don't eat any meat unless its fish, eat
your fruits and vegetanles (if possible,
it only organic produce), take vitamin and
mineral supplements, use a shampoo and
conditioner designed to treat hair loss,
like Nioxin....
Hairloss can skip generations, so even if
your grandfather isnt bald your great
great grandfather probably was. Oh and get
tested maybe its some sort of disease...
I stopped my hair loss and im only
20...scaried me when I was 15, but its not
noticeable at all...well thats what people
tell.
Oh and do not were hats to often and keep
your hair nice and short...use a
thickening shampoo....There is no cure for
genetic male patter baldness...But there
are ways of slowing it down and producing
new hair grow...talk to a naturopatic
doctors...................................
