I am so confused. I was on the patch for a few months (approximately 6 months) and then I got a cyst on my ovaries, it actually opened up inside of me, stayed one month without the patch. I got my period w/o any problems. After that I started on the regular birth control pill on august 27. Last time I took it was the 22nd of october, the other 5 pills until the 27, I didn’t take them, but they really don’t have anything. So, I was supposed to start with the pills again on the 27th of october but I didn’t because I was feeling weird. Yesterday, the 9th of november I had unprotected intercourse with my fiancé and I was just wondering if there is a possibility that I could be pregnant. Yes, he did... (inside)
when do I ovulate? Am i? Please explain. I feel so lost…
thank you so much!

If you want take a test. It can't hurt. And if you are still worried a few days before you are suppose to start your period take another. Now if you aren't taking your pills make sure you use a condom. If you miss one pill and have unprotected sex that day you can get pregnant.

I had the same problem with the patch. I hear that it might be coming off the market. When I was on the patch I would get the worst cramps too. I got off that after only being on it for about 6 months and went to the pill but the pill my doc put me on had too low of hormones and I got another cyst. I stopped taking those pills and two weeks later I ended up pregnant.

Just take a test and don't worry too much. Only time can tell.

Count 2 weeks from the 1st day of your last menstrual period. That will give you an approx ovulation date ( if your periods are fairly regular)
for example: if your last period started on oct 25, then ovulation would occur around nov 8. So you would be considered fertile from about the 4th of nov to about the 11th of nov - give or take. Sperm can live inside the woman for up to three days, so even if you didn't do it on your ovulation date, you could still get pregnant. Fyi - there is only a window of time in which fertilization can actually occur - approx 12-24 hours.
I hope this helps. Hollie

It is still too early to test with a hpt. As I have mentioned before(on other sites), the earliest I was able to get a positive preg test was 4 days before my period was due to start. So even though waiting is so hard to do, its really the only thing you can do. Just take it easy & keep us posted.
If you have any more questions - let us know! Hollie

My friend nicky had every symptom of being pregnant..Late on her period, morning sickness, cramping etc...So she went and bought 4-5 pregnancy tests some came up positive..Real light lines and some came up negative..So unsure of why the tests were coming up this way she went to her doctor..They told her that her pregnancy test was negative, but that she has a cyst on her right ovary. They also told her that any kind of problem like this suck as cysts or any other female problems can cause pregnancy tests to show a false pregnancy and to have the same symptoms as someone who is pregnant....I would advise that if you start feeling symptoms of pregnancy and have female problems that instead of spending your money on tons of pregnancy tests that you just make an appointment with you gynocologist and save yourself the worrying, and the constant purchasing of tests.
