My best friend has just been diagnosed
with anxiety disorder this last week.
She and her husband of a month are trying
to start a family. I was wondering how
this will affect her and the unborn child
when she concieves? What about
medication? Is there any that are safe
to take? I'm just worried she is getting
into something she can't handle with her
not having her anxiety in control.
Epecially if it will hurt an unborn fetus.

Hi,
i know a few girls that have anxiety and
some of them got better with their
pregnancy and others that needed to be on
medications, theres no problem taking meds
when pregnant ,but she needs to see an
especialist to give her the right ones..
Good luck to both of you

Thanks for replying. I will talk to my
friend about it. Do u think it would be
a good idea for her to talk to a doctor
about it and get on the right meds before
she actually concieves?

My anxiety started after the birth of my
daughter. Now I have it well under
control and I would say that I am 95%
cured just through - relaxation, exercise,
diet and positive thinking.
I was scared to have another child because
of the anxiety after my first but she is
now 18 months old I am on no medication -
except herbal remedies (chamomile tea,
herbalife products) all which are
suitable for a pregnant women.
So now my husband an myself are looknig to
start trying agin in a years time! I am
already so excited.
