Q: What Is Safe While Pregnant?

Hi girls....This may be kind of gross, but I can't help it! I've been having some minor yellowish discharge but I am very sore...Down there! I don't believe it's a yeast infection because it's not a heavy white discharge. Has anyone experienced this while being pregnant? I'll be 7 weeks tomorrow. I've never had anything like this before. I don't see the doctor again until dec. 9th. Is there anything safe to use while being pregnant to help get rid of this burning/itching? Thanks so much!

Well
To be honest sounds like you might have a std. Don't take offense but burning and itching is a big sign. Sorry to be so blunt. But go back to the doctors as a walk-in and ask your nurse if they have the results to your paps-smear. If you do the will treat you the right way. Just don't take anything over the counter it could harm you and your baby.

I just had a pap smear in beginning of oct., which was normal and have only slept with my husband! We were both virgins on our wedding day...Something we are very proud of. There is nooooo way it is an std.

Safe Medicine While Pregnant
I'm 11 weeks pregnant and i'm sorry to be the one to tell you but nothing otc is safe for use unless your doctor clears it first. Honestly though it sounds like an infection of some kind you should definitely see a doctor. Yellow is never a good color for mucous or discharge. There are other infections that it could be, it doesn't necessarily have to be an std.

Could be a uti, I had one while pregnant and they put me on some meds called macrobid. I'd go see a doc about it.

I'm a cna and an emt also so that really has nothing to do with my question. I wasn't taking offense to it at all, I was just giving more info. I just had my blood drawn today and also a urinalysis so I guess i'll wait and see if anything comes back on the urinalysis.
Lilblaze: what were your symptoms? Thanks!

If you would like to make a comment to trina here I am. The last time I checked this was an open comment line. Now why don't you be mature like everyone else and just make your comment. Like I told pooh bear do not take offense it is only my thoughts therefore I apologized ahead of time if I was wrong. But she does need to see a doctor.
