First Time Mom-cramping And Back Pain Posted: 11-12-05 01:01am
Hi...This is my first time ever using a
message board, but I have read through
some of the boards posted and some of the
responses..So I feel very comfortable that
someone can give me some insight on my
problem. I am 25 weeks pregnant, and am
starting to have a lot of cramping, and
lower back pain...I went to the hospital 2
days ago and went into labor and delivery
and they checked for the heartbeat of the
baby, and everything was fine they said..I
was not contracting either, but these
pains and cramping are worrying me...Any
advice?

Could be the beginnings of the braxton
hicks contractions. Sometimes women feel
them, some times they dont. Preparing
for the birth contractions.--
first one I felt nothing until labor hit,
2nd and 3rd I felt braxton hicks for a
couple months or more.

The cramping is normal. Very
uncomfortable but normal. I'm 35 wks now
and my cramping is just horrible. So is
the back pain. I started getting the
cramps around 32 wks or so. This is my
second and with my first I didn't have any
of this so it really scared me. Make sure
and tell your doctor what is going on so
he/she knows. I was checked at 34 wks and
I am already 2cm dilated. So I would let
your doc know, but everything should be
fine. Good luck!
