Q: Pregnancy

I recently found out I was pregnant. My main concern is having a healthy baby for which I will go to any length to eat right and etc. However, this was a bit of a surprise, and I was sick and on antibiotics about 4 weeks ago, as well as a smoker until I recently found out. I am very worried that I may have unknowingly caused some exposure to my baby. Please tell me if this is true

Extremely eHealthy
You should be ok if you stop now. No smoking and nothing else unless your doc says its ok. Eat healthy and take care of yourself. Let your doc know this too.

You should be fine. I smoked and had a few beers before I found out I was pregnant. By than I was 6 weeks! The same thing happened with my last pregnancy, but he was born healthy as a horse! Of course I stopped smoking when I found out (it was hard, but worth it). Rest assure you and the baby are fine! How far along are you? Is this your first?

Smoking And Meds.
From what my midwife has told me. It should be fine the meds anyways. I have smoked my whole pregnancy so far and I have a really heathy baby. But the doctors would like you to stop if you can. I have slowly cut down my ciggs. And I will soon quit.

I also am a smoker and have cut down considerably. But still need(desperately want) sometimes(alot). I have heard that it is actually worse for the baby for you to quit(heavy smokers). That you and the baby go through withdrawal. Is this true? Also, I am 6wks or so but only found out 2 wks ago. About 3 weeks ago I went out drinking with the girls. Am I now more prone to miscarry??

Nicole.

I have been smoking through out my whole pregnancy and nothing has happened to my baby. He's heathy. And the doctors do say it is harmful to stop all at once but your supposed to quit slowly. I went drinkin at 3 weeks p.G. Not knowing but I didn't miscarrie. Take it easy and do your best to avoid drinkin.
