Positive Pregnancy Test On Bc? Posted: 11-13-05 19:33pm
If you take a pregnancy test while you're
on birth control, will it be accurate? I
know people say that bc kind of tricks
your body into thinking it's pregnant, so
will it show up that you are pregnant on a
preg. Test cause of the bc, even if you
aren't really? Thanks for any insight, in
advance.

I'm not certain, but on the leaflet with
my pill, it says it won't affect the
pregnancy test!

Bc pills will not give you a false postive
test. Last year I hadn't got my period
in nearly 3 months but I had been taking
my bc pill religiously for 6 years. I
took a pregnacy test....Just to
see......It was postive!! So I called my
obgyn and asked him if the pill could be
affecting the test because I had never
missed a pill in 6 years. He told me
that bc pills have no affect on the test.
I now have a beautiful 4 month old!
