Ok so ill admit im sorta freakin out right now and I need advice.
My girlfriend has been taking ortho-trycylin since she was 15 (now 20). She stops taking the pill on a sunday and starts her period on tuesdays normally.

Last night (the sunday before her period)my girlfriend and I made love, I went without a condom until she got off and then I put a condom on and finished 15 minutes later. While I had my condom on she started to bleed, it was a relatively small bright red spot on my sheets and I just thought she started early. But this morning she told me she didn't start and now this has got me worried to all hell because I really dont know too much about reproductive organs. Can you tell me what this might be, explaining it to a dummy. I tried looking this up and I couldn't really find anything that helped me. Should I worry about her being pregnant? Also what is implantation bleeding?

Thanks for the help all I hope to hear from you soon!

As long as your girlfriend has been taking birth control regularly, without missing pills you really shouldn't have to worry about being pregnant. Even if she had just missed one, the chances are still slim.

Does your girlfriend experience any pain during sex? Bleeding after sex can be a sign of other underlying issues (ie chlamydia, etc). If it continues to happen, it would be wise for her to have it checked out. I am not trying to freak you out more, but chlaymdia is very common and if left untreated can lead to infertility problems for her.

Best wishes.

She can have an infection that could cause a little bleeding or spotting after sex and cause discomfort to her. She should go to the gynecologist to have this checked out and to make sure everything is ok. The little spotting could be nothing to worry about but it is better to make sure.

I don't believe that was implantation bleeding, since it usually occurs about a week or more after conception and it is usually a brown-ish to pink-ish color.

Good luck with everything

Thankyou all for replying, I asked her about it today and she hasn't had any pain during or after the sex, and she told me it was nothing to worry about and it was somewhat normal, it has happened to her before. So I am reassured a bit. Thanks again and if it could be anything else please keep replying
