I hope that someone out there can help me or direct me to a site that can give me any info. On what I have.
But for the past few weeks since I miscarried my baby {october 17th} I have been going back to my doctor for regular check ups becuz he said that he keeps seeing 'something' in my uterus that shud not be there, since then I have had 3 different d & c's and one biopsy done to scrape my uterus to remove it and still nothing.
However today he did another ultrascan and now he has diagnoised me with something called 'bicarnuate uterus', something about my uterus being split in two and the egss being fertilized in the abnormal side of my uterus and that is why I keep miscarring my babies {i have had 3 miscarriages between august 2004 and october 2005}.
He said that it something that I was born with but yet I have an 11 year old daughter. He said that it is just luck and chance and that I cud go on to get pregnant again and carry a baby to term or I cud very well miscarry again.
The thing is that he is sending me for another ultrascan next week and then he has to do something called a 'dye test' to see just how my uterus is shaped exactly.
This is all very new to me as I have never heard of anything like thi sbefore and ijust wanted to know how common it is and how.If I can be corrected.
I have searched the net and can find nothing that really helps as to what it is and how it does affect my pregnancies.
Looking forward to hearing from any of you.
Thank you.

That's crazy, i've never even heard of this, but at least you know why you keep miscarrying now. I do know about the dye test, when they did mine for my kidneys, I had an iv and they just inject this solution into the iv, it kinda makes ya feel cool for like 5 seconds and that's it. As for the rest I don't know any sites or anyhting on this. Maybe google it. Good luck.

Dont quote me but I believe I heard of that on a medical show, and something about "divider" in the middle of uterus. Almost like 2 different uterus' I will search it out. But I believe that is the condition

This sounds like something a college has, her womb is almost split in 2 with a devide down one side, neither were big enough to carry a child to term she was told, and I think she had endemetrosis to boot.

Well.. 4 weeks ago she gave birth to a 8lb 6ounce healthy little girl, I guess she just got really lucky

thank you very much. I wud really appreciate any help that I can get at this point. I mean the mere fact that I wud love to have a baby and can't have one is just killing me. But my ob/gyn did mention something about there being a division and that having two different uterus' and wud you believe that there was a fetus in each one? I think that's really weird. He called me a medical anomaly. This is all so depressing. The thing si that I just can't figure out how come he didn't pick it up when I miscarried back in september last year, and how come 11 years ago when I had my daughter that my doctor at that time didn't pick it up during my ultrasound either.

I just don't know :(

my mother had endometrosis and had to have a hysto rectomy at just over 45 :( but by then my brother was 17 and I wwas 16 and she really didn't want any more kids. I really hope that that is not what is happening to me too. I wud just die. But I am glad to know that your friend went on to have a succesfull pregnancy, ijust hope that one day it happens for me too. My ob/gyn said that it's just luck and chance, so I don't know. Maybe after I have thi sdye test done we will take things from there.

I just don't know :(

bless your heart! Who knows why they can't see when they are looking up your "address"? I had four miscarriages amidst fertilty treatments, surgeries and procedures. In the end during exploratory surgery it was discoverd my entire female equipment was sidways and my uterus was connected to my colon. Hysterectomy was the result. I never had a child but I learned some important things: the most important was that I will see my children in heaven. In the most difficult of times the lord comforted my heart with that. Next I sort of slipped through the looking glass and lost track of all the other parts of me that make me me! I was obsessed with being a mother. Do yourself a favor. Force yourself to focus on what a dynamic mother you are already and that you have many other qualities that make you you. Next get a second opinion. Woman doctors are just more in tune. Now offense to the fellows, but we don't know what is it like to have their equipment, right? Lastly, bless you and yours! God is in control of our lives if we let him be. He can comfort you inside where no one and nothing else can. Blessings and I wish you great success in all you do!

Mjwheeler god bless you too. May your joy be full--

bless you all I am sorry for all your losses.

God comforted my heart on the same note when I had lost 6 children thru miscarriages. I seen them in a vision and they were telling me I could make it. Encouraging me in my sorrows and my trials. Now joy lives where sorrow had been. I am very greatful for what my .Father has done. I know with him all things are possible. For I am now pregnant without a uterus. Answer to 18 year old promise from .God. So I know he can do for us whatever we choose to believe and hold onto. (gift of faith .Father)

god bless us all

i am so sorry to hear about what happened to you, and here I am gripping and I already have such a beautiful daughter. But I guess just like you I see my babie in heavne, that's what I had to tell my daughter each time I miscarried becuz she cried so much, but it worse with this last one becuz I had actually gone to 12 weeks and was beginning to show, so for her it was really going to happen. But she is a strong little girl, and we have helped each other thru alot.
I find that men deal with things differently. Not that my fiance wasn't there for me, just that he seemed to have distanced himself from me. I can't say that I minded though, I felt more in tuned with my girlfriends, and chatting with you guys online so maybe it was a blessing that he was so distant.

Anyway, hang in there and always remember as I have had to myself: the grace of god will never take you to a place where the will god can not protect you.

Thanks for everything, and god bless.

tony & I have discussed it and we think that we are going to have the surgery done. I mean it's not like I have to many years left (38) to play the fool with so we are going t do it in january, just let me enoy my xmas and then we will take things from there. I understand that with surgery my chances are greater for carrying a baby to term, so we will see what happens.
