I've had a constant need to clear my
throat for a few years now. There is
actually mucous in the form of a post
nasal drip so I know it is not
neurological. It seems to get worse
particularly after a meal. I've gone to
an ent and allergist and no one seems to
have an answer. It is really only an
annoyance to me and others but I want to
be sure i'm not damaging my throat by
always claring it. It doesn't hurt or
feel sore.
Do I have any options with how I can be
helped? Thanks!

Thanks. It seems others have said the
same thing. I guess I will try a couple
months of proton pump inhibitors to see if
they help. Funny how I dont have any
reflux symptoms such as burning or
heartburn but I guess I can still have
reflux.
I did have a friend though who had it
worse than me and he eliminated sugar and
white flour as much as he could from his
diet and he no longer has the problem.
