Female Discharge?
Posted: 12-12-03 01:53am

I have been having (what I think to be) an exessive amount of discharge lately. I get it pretty much every day that I dont have my period and its very annoying. People have told me that a certain amount is normal... But I can actual feel it when it happens because that is how heavy it is! I am not sexual active so I know its not std related... Any ideas what could be causing this?!

Yeah, that is normal, and gross. But, I found that when I went on the pill, it is not as bad for me. Maybe you should try that.

It is normal. I agree with the post about the pill. Mine has subsided since starting the pill. I never heard that it means you are more fertile, though. I guess that is great if it is true!

 i'm so glad that someone asked this question - it's definitely been on my mind. I totally, totally feel your pain ... It is every single day...I have to buy those kotex light days...They are my best friend...Lol. I use about 1-3 a day..They come in these little colored packets that are about as thick as a pad, but inside of those, are about 10 tiny thin pantiliners that are perfect for the job. They're a bit difficult to find, but try them.

As for resolving the problem? I went to my gyn and she did a culture, but told me 'no news is good news,' so I didn't hear from her - I guess that's good news? I am going to be starting the pill (again), so we'll see if that helps... I was on the pill previously, but I never had this discharge problem until a few months ago. I, too, am not sexually active, etc, etc....So i'm definitely in the exact same boat you are. (i'm 23 by the way...And this didn't begin until after I was 23  )

good luck, hun and god bless! :)
