I'm not sure what it really means but i'll do a quick google.

your baby might ‘drop’ (shift into your pelvis) before labor begins, but not all babies drop prior to the onset of labor. If your baby drops (this is also called ‘lightening’ or ‘settling’), you will begin to notice a decrease in lap space when seated, a sudden ease of breathing and more stomach capacity (since the load has shifted down), more pelvic pressure, and more frequent urination- maybe even slight incontinence. At each prenatal visit, your doctor will check to see if your baby has dropped into your pelvis.

hope that helps.

Is there a certain time when u the baby drops??? Im 34 weeks right now and the baby hasnt dropped yet...Believe me! I'll be really hungry and I start eating something and I feel really full and I dont even eat that much of whatever it is im eating...It sux! Half an hour later i'll be hungry again! Lol the baby dropping doesnt mean his head being down in ur pelvic area does it? Cause that is how he is positioned right now-said that Dr.........I read on other forums that girls can feel when the baby drops..Is that true? Thats really weird

Typically the baby drops a couple weeks to a couple hours before labor begins for a first pregnancy most subsequent pregnancies the babies drops at about the same time labor begins. I think my baby "dropped" at about 34 weeks so I thought that seemed really early because everywhere I read said anytime in the 2 weeks before delivery well I actually did go into labor at 36 weeks so ???

When the baby "dropped" it kinda made my pelvis area feel "fuller" and like I couldn't keep my legs closed all the way just more "pressure" down there. Most women say they can breathe easier once the baby has dropped because it isn't pushing on the rib cage/lung area as much I didn't really notice that but most women do.

Hope some of this info helps someone :)
