I'm still unsure about the baby but I would like to be prepared to know what things I will need for my baby. So I was wondering if people could tell me what is need. So I could make a saving list so I can save for the baby's need, of need be. I be very grateful thax

I can name a ton but just to name some really important things to have to begin with:
onesies...You can never have enough of these!!!
Plenty of booties
baby wash (for hair and body)
baby tub. (first 3 weeks will only be sponge bath)
diapers
formula (if your breastfeeding, a pump is good, nipple pads in case you leak in public!)
thermometer
something for diaper rash
receiving blankets
bibs
pj's (footies are best, especially in the cold weather)
if it's cold...Hat (bonnet) and mittens
wipes
bottle if your formula feeding
etc............
There is a ton. Having a baby is the best but you will have a lot more to carry so be prepared! Lol

i responded to your post over in the other thread. Hope you listen to my advice! Good luck hun, you can do this! If you need any advice, pm me!

Are you planning on having a baby shower? If so, you will probably get everything you need just from that. I would suggest you go to a baby speciality store...I like babys'r'us and just look around. Some things are unneccesary, like a diaper genie, but some things are an absolute must. I think the reply before mine covered most of it!

Knowing where you are in life - I will give you the same advise as was given to me when I was in your sit.
**
resale - resale - resale
its cheap, and babies don't wear out things like older kids do
**
check your local resale shop (in the us its the goodwill or salvation army)
for baby clothes, blankets, booties, ect... Cribs, highchairs any thing baby.
Also another good source is rummage sales - alot of people buy high end baby items and have 1 or 2 kids then have no use for it, check your local paper for any rummages that state kids items.

Just wash, clean, and disinfect any thing you purchase 2nd hand and it will be like new.

I do realize that when you are preg. You want the very best for your child. However, I am a firm beliver in do the very best that you can afford. I would rather have a nice appt. And food on the table than a brand new name brand outfit - that they will prob. Spit up on anyway. Lol.

A few things extra you should have

baby snowsuit
tylenol/tempra (for immunizations or fever when needed)
car seat
you can also just use ivory/dove bar soap on babys skin

vaseline works better than pentene, sudocreme and other diaper rash creams
nail clipper
crib/bassinet or bed camper(for shared accomadation in your bed)

also for cord care all you need is water as alcohol dries out the skin and kills good bacteria needed for healing

Lots of diapers, keep in mind you'll be using about 60-70 a week.

A really good baby car seat
a playpen w/ changing table included.

Lots of patience and lots of love! Of course lots of diapers, bedding and clothes, spit up rags.
The best to you and yours!
When are you due?
Generally the baby Dr. Will have a list for you!

Defintely shop for the deals. There are a ton out there! Sign up on-line for free things. (see parents.Com, americanbaby.Com) to name just a couple. Consignement stores are great...They have things almost brand new. Target is really cheap for adorable onesies, just keep in mind their sizes are really tiny. Walmart is cheap. Ross is cheap for brand name clothes, if you have a ross. Good luck and have fun bargaining!
