Is this true? Last year my husband and I tried to conceive for 6 months. I gave up and went back on b/c pills for one month. The next month I didnt take them and I got pregnant. I lost the baby at 5 months of pregnancy this past july. Since then my periods are irregular. I always used to be every 28 days. Since the loss, I have had 2 35 day cycles. This month my period came on day 29 and for 3 days prior I had cramping. This is strange to me and I am not sure what to make of it. Any help?? Should I go back on birth control to get my cycle back on track?? Confused....I want to have a baby soon, I am 27 and I dont have children. I dont want to wait any longer! I wanna be a mama!

I hear it's true.... It happened to me with my first-off in august, pregnant in september.... And also with my last... Off in february pregnant in march.

I wouldn't purposely go off b/c pills and try to get pregnant right away. You're suppose to wait 3 months.

***baby dust***

i hope you get what you want very soon!!!

I am not on b/c pills. My period has been irregular for the last 3 months since I lost my baby in july. I was trying to figure out if I should go back on b/c to regulate my cycle. But I want to get pregnant soon, so im not sure if it would even be worth it.

Hi lilypad,
sorry for your loss. I'm also 27 and ttc. I stopped my b/c pills on 17 sep and having irregular cycles since. They say that once you stop b/c pills your system takes a while to get back to normal and that you can even miss your period for 2 - 3 months. They also say that you should wait until you have had at least 2 normal cycles before ttc but do not give any medical reason, just say that it is easier then to determine your due date. I would suggest that you stay off b/c pills and just let your system get back to normal by itself.

Baby dust to you.

Hi every body I am not on birth control right now- I just wanted to make that clear, because I think I confused some people...

What I am wondering is ..Should I go back on b/c to regulate my cycle- to make it easier to get pregnant.

Ultimately I want to get pregnant right now!

But sice my loss in july I have been irregular and I dont know if this is hurting my chances to conceive...

Going on the pill may not help getting pregnant, have you tried different things like fertility treatment and just being relaxed while doing the deed works alot better when relaxed. It can take some people over a year to get pregnant and especially if you had a miscarriage your body may still be healing....

Im not sure about anybody else but I was trying for almost 3 years before I nearly gave up! I asked my doctor and everybody else I knew but still with no luck.

Now I'm already on my 3rd child and life is fantastic. Lucy, Ben and Philip are my darlings!

Hope this helps
