Ok well, i'm not quite 21 yet and I just found out i'm pregnant even though i've been on the pill since I was about 15 due to cramps. I had just switched over to the patch so i'm just assuming that my body had an adverse reaction to it. My boyfriend and I have only been together for 4 months but we are very much in love already. He has a good job and goes to college full-time and is going to graduate in about a year and a half. I work part-time and go to college to but I still have a long way to go till I get my degree. If I have the baby i'd have to find a new job though because I currently work with adults with developmental disabilities and there's a risk of getting hit in the stomach and I do a lot of lifting of the individuals. Anyway, i'm not sure whether to have it or not. My mom is all about me having an abortion. My aunt, my moms sister who i'm very close with, told me I should have it and told me about all the options I would have about getting support from the government so that I can continue going to college and get my degree. I know that I got myself into this mess and should take responsibility and have the child but i'm still unsure because it would totally change my life. I need some other opinions and advice...And please be nice. Thanks.

I Too Was Unsure And Still Am
I was thinking about having an abortion as I just started a great course in college, still living t home and jobless. I thro that I really couldnt look after the baby I still do. But thro talking to people in these forum rooms I decided to do what was best for the baby which is to give birth to the baby and love him/her the best I can, give my baby everything she/he needs. This isnnt best choice for everyone but as some once said to me theres always adoption.

Think About It
I think you should give yourself a little more time to think about it. I am now 34 weeks and about 5 months ago I was in your shoes. I was just about to finish a two year college program when I found out I was pregnant. I graduated but I still didn't know what I wanted to do about my unborn child. I didn't tell my mom though your really courageous for that. I told my mom after I was sure about what I wanted to do. It is ultimately your decision because it will affect you more than anyone. Yes maybe you'll have support but on those nights when he or she won't sleep you'll be up not the supporters. You really have to take into account what you want for your life. I don't want to tell you to be selfish but sometimes you have to think that way. I'm sure you want to give this baby the best life and if you don't see yourself being able to then I think you know what your options are. Take time out to write out some of the pros and cons.

A freind of mine just had an abortion and now regets it..I'm not saying you will regret it if that is your choice but I am saying that thimk it through really well as you can't take the decision back once you do it.

Try getting excited about each course of action for a while and see if either deciosn comes easier.
Talk to your partner as well. It is your body and your decison but he may make it easier to make a choice.

Hope this helps.

Ok, I don't know what's going on. I started bleeding heavier and having really horrible cramps last night so I went to the er. They don't even know what's going on. They said my cervix is closed but i'm still too early to see if there's anything on the ultrasound even though they gave me one anyway. So now I don't know if i'm pregnant or not. I guess it's all about waiting now.
